Bukit Timah HPE Training Centre Open House Rapid Tournaments 2015

1. Organiser: The Tournament is organised by ASEAN CHESS ACADEMY and played under the Laws of Chess and the following rules. There will be 8 separate tournaments.
2. Eligibility: Each tournament shall have a maximum of 80 players on “first-come-first-serve” basis.
3. Venue: ACA HPE Training Centre at 170 Upper Bukit Timah Road, #10-04 Bukit Timah Shopping Centre, Singapore 588179. Tel: 96337946; 97574465
4. Dates: Players may register for any or as many Tournaments: Dec 5th; 6th; 12th; 13th; 19th; 20th; 26th & 27th 2015.
5. Time: 10am to 7pm. Lunch Break is from 1pm to 2.30pm. Zero-Start shall apply after completion of Round 1.
6. Format & Time Control: 7 rounds Swiss System. 25 minutes per player to complete the game.

8. Closing Date: Wednesday, Dec 1st and respective Wednesdays at 8pm or if 80 entries had already been received.
9. Categories & Prizes: For determination of eligibility, the FIDE Rapid Rating will be used. Otherwise, in order of priority, FIDE Standard Rating, FIDE Blitz Rating, followed by SCF Grade. Players may win more than one prize.
   (a) Open – Rating 1400 & above (or Grade D).
   Cash Prizes: $500; $300; $200; $100 x 2
   Trophies for Best 3 for Rating <1500; Rating
   (b) Challengers – Rating <1400
   Trophies for top 10 and Best 3 each for Rating <1300; Rating
10. In the event of any dispute against the Chief Arbiter, the decision of the Appeals Committee shall be FINAL and no further correspondences shall be entertained.
